Society as a whole needs science to solve the difficulties that arise in any field. For this, it needs prepared people who put science in function of society. This preparation begins with the academics who are in charge of preparing the new generations. Determining what elements affect the development of academics is essential to encourage their preparation in scientific research, which is why it is the objective of this research. Methods such as Pareto Diagram and AHP Saaty multicriteria method were applied, from the selection of elements that influence the preparation of academics through a focus group.
