Environmental education contributes to promoting knowledge, awareness and attitudes in people that leads to modifying their relationships with the environment. In companies, this educational process a key element for the awareness and training of employess, which allows them to identify environmental problems that arise in organizations as a result of their activities and processes, and thus implement solutions to them. The objective is to determine the importance of environmental education in orense mipymes. The research is developed from the positivist paradigm, under the quantitative approach, following the deductive method, the type of research is field, the level in descriptive with the application of a non-experimental design. The population consisted of 1406 mipymes and the sample 172. The survey was used as a technique and the questionnaire as an instrument. 44,97% of the mipymes fully agreed to carry out environmental education activities for their employees, 26,63% agreed, 15,98% indifferent, 5,92% disagreed and 6,51% strongly disagreed. It is evident that 71,60% are in favor of environmental education, while 28,40% do not consider it important to develop this educational process.
