This research project was carried out in the Jesús del Buen Pastor Association of the city of San Gabriel, Carchi province, in which there is evidence of a high prevalence of older adults who need to receive care to improve their quality of life, therefore, The general objective was to develop educational and recreational strategies to prevent complications with frailty syndrome in older adults of the Jesús del Buen Pastor association that contribute to the improvement of care in the elderly patients of said Association. For this, the qualitative and quantitative modality was used. A survey was applied to 50 older adults belonging to the Association. Due to the size of the sample, we worked with 100% of the members. It was obtained as a result that 66% of the population suffers from frailty and 33% pre frailty, allowing the design of an educational and recreational plan that helps to avoid the appearance of the pathology or reduce the symptoms of those who suffer from it, avoiding the deterioration of the condition. cognitive, physical and mental capacity of the elderly when carrying out their daily activities such as eating alone, walking, improving the quality of life in old age, especially avoiding dependency, irreparable damage to the body, disability and death.
