The objective of the work presented was to determine the contribution of the educational garden as a pedagogical resource in the development of environmental education in primary education institutions in the Daniel Alcides Carrión, Pasco province. It is part of the research project "The organic garden as an artificial ecosystem to preserve biodiversity, the environment, food security and the development of skills in the institutions of Regular Basic Education, funded by the University National. Educational institutions of Cycle V of primary education participated in the study, selected through a simple random sampling. A quasi-experimental methodology was used in three stages. Qualitative and quantitative analyzes are combined, aided by expert judgment and statistical analysis. Among the main results achieved, it is highlighted that the educational garden as a pedagogical resource contributes to the development of environmental education in primary education institutions, allows interdisciplinary academic work from the context and articulates the work between the school and the community, and is recommends expanding research taking into account its holistic vision.
