On the basis of ideas expressed by José Martí (1853-1895) in speeches and other texts written in the years 1880-1895, Marti's vision of unity is revealed that sustained the intense revolutionary political work that he deployed as the architect of the last contest. emancipatory of the Cuban people in the 19th century, oriented not only to the liquidation of Spanish colonial rule, but to contain the expansionist policy of the nascent US imperialism.
