ROMERO GARRIDO, Luís  e  DIAZ. ALVAREZ, Maximino E. Control of overgrowths for mechanical means in the cultivation of the rice in the non specialized sector. First part. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2011, vol.20, n.1, pp. 12-15. ISSN 2071-0054.

An analysis of the importance of harvesting rice in unirrigated lands was carried out, given the current and perspectives limitations of availability of water, what brings in consequence the vertiginous development of underbrush that they compete with the cultivation and that they constitute the problem to solve. The selection of the mechanical method, as the most effective and economic, for the elimination of underbrush was carried out too. Of the above-mentioned the objective of the present work that consists in determining some physics - mechanical properties of the plants of rice of the variety IA Cuba 29 that are defined for morphological parameters, for different irrigation regimens. The results allow to conclude that already have the dimensions of wide, height and diameter of group of the plants and the working area of the mechanical elements to design.

Palavras-chave : elimination of underbrush; morphological parameters; popular rice.
