Transference of energetic technologies and its effect on people? standard of living becomes one of the main elements for developing rural local areas. This way, financial resource of different towns is favored with the creation of new jobs and diversification of economic activities, so that the formation of a business culture becomes possible. "Renewable Energies for Sustainable livelihoods" (RESURL) International Project was developed in Cuba from 2001 to 2011 in order to support decision-making for the project of Energization of rural areas. The main objectives of this paper are the implementation of its model for decision-making (SURE) in "Las Calabazas" Community, the analysis of the financial resource and the prediction of its impact on local economy.
