The Ecuadorian university institutions assume the mission of transforming society, for it is necessary the integral formation of the professional, while the attitudes and values ​​of citizens, based on the principles of Good Living and the preparation for their understanding on the basis of interculturality, Plurinationality and inclusion. The work entitled: Strategy for the formation of a culture of respect for people with disabilities in the university environment, proposes to this end, as it expresses in its theoretical foundations the definition of persons with disabilities, the changes that must take place in the University context and the principles that underpin the strategic conception for the formation of a culture of consideration and respect for people with disabilities. The work used the methods: analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive, the transition from the abstract to the concrete and the modeling. The results achieved demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposal.
