The problem focused on identifying the weaknesses of the actions of the Student Welfare departments in the country, with a view to publishing a document that serves to recommend actions to strengthen the processes of these areas of higher education institutions, so it was raised as a general objective to determine the impact of the Student Welfare processes in the improvement of the educational quality of the Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí University, Chone Extension; for which the quantitative method was used through surveys of university students. This resulted in limitations in the process due to personnel and resource limitations, which generate dissatisfaction among students, who expect this department to solve their physical, mental, and emotional health problems, defend their rights and give them financial support. for their studies; In conclusion, it was determined that the efficiency of the activities of this department influences the development of skills and the overall well-being of the educational community, which is why it is advisable to apply a comprehensive and inclusive model in the Student Welfare Department to achieve excellence.
