The sustainability of a productive activity is conditioned by the adequate environmental management of the resources, supplies and raw materials used in the development of goods and services. In this order, companies that strive to manage the impact of their activity on the environment become more competitive to the extent that they protect the environment where they operate and are integrated into the field of sustainable economy. This article aims to diagnose and to make proposals to the environmental management of micro, small and medium enterprises in the province of El Oro, Ecuador.
