The work addresses the effectiveness of the judgments of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in light of the principle of subsidiarity and the recent jurisprudence of the court, especially the Fontevecchia case and the Advisory Opinion on November 24th., 2017 requested by the Republic of Costa Rica. As methods we use harmonically several known as the analytical exegetical, the logical and the doctrinal historical, accompanied by the document review technique.
