Resumo

The mastery program proposed by the State Technical University of Quevedo will contribute to train professionals with a scientific and humanistic vision, framed within the theoretical perspective set out in the objectives of the National Development Plan 2017-2021 - An entire life and the current zonal agenda 5 in Ecuador. The statistical analysis of the results showed that the suggested program has a high degree of acceptance among the professionals surveyed. A 58.2% of the professionals involved are between 31 and 40 years old, 46.6% of the professionals surveyed have a professional degree in Agronomic Engineering. Likewise, the respondents stated that they work in the areas of Production and Advisory and / or Technical Assistance, each with 19.2%. A majority of the professionals showed interest in the topics of Sustainable Soil Management and Conservation, Plant Pest and Disease Management in both Annual and Perennial Crops, with 63.0% and 52.7%, respectively. There is a high demand for the master degree program proposed among the respondents. Out of a population of 1,600 professionals from the Zonal Region 5, 320 may be willing to take part of the master program in the State Technical University of Quevedo in Ecuador.
