The research offers an interrelated analysis of the aspects of nature, production, social, educational and cultural within the framework of Zone 7 of Ecuador, which includes the provinces of Zamora Chinchipe, Loja and El Oro, in order to assess their sustainability. Economic use a descriptive methodology under a conceptual approach through the review of bibliographic sources of scientific and academic nature in relation to the economic growth of Ecuador in the last five years. A tone with what was agreed in the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. Our work describes the result obtained from the point of view of the important indicators and their impact in the area 7, Ecuador. It was analyzed to demonstrate that the planning and the articulation among the diverse actors of the society, report in a key way for the development of intermediate cities.
