The present work is directed to the development of agriculture, taking place in the companies belonging to this sector, with the objective of determining the critical points of the agro-food production chain in the province of Cienfuegos. The research uses methods and techniques such as: direct observation, statistical techniques, in addition to an extensive literature review that collects points of view of different authors about the subject under study and a constant exchange with specialists in the sector, as well as opinions of the final consumers of the agri-food production chain, giving as main results, the critical points within said chain, such as the lack of planning between the supply and demand of the province, the low yield of regional production, among others.
