AVENDANO RAMIREZ, Argemiro e ALVAREZ DIAZ, Mayda Bárbara. Reflection to move from the reproduction of a positivist natural scientific culture to the production of a school scientific culture. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.6, pp. 168-175. Epub 10-Dez-2021. ISSN 2218-3620.
This article reflects on the need to move from the reproduction of a positivist natural scientific culture to the production of a school scientific culture, emphasizing the categories that lie between so many edges that the object of interest involves. The relationship between science and society should stimulate reflection to train people responsible for their learning and their actions. The academic results in the area of Natural Sciences show the little interest in it. It is considered that the main reason for this low performance is attributed to the fact that the content is frequently decontextualized, that is, very distant in terms of its application to daily life, and without an interdisciplinary approach. The CTS approach was born as an alternative for the teaching-learning process of Natural Sciences, with the aim of overcoming not only low academic performance, apathy for knowledge, but, by seeking a rapprochement between science and society, mediated by technology. This implies an interdisciplinary approach during the formulation and development of pedagogical projects, since through them it will be tried to successfully solve a problem, satisfy a need and obtain a benefit.
