POMAQUERO YUQUILEMA, Mayra; FURIO VITA, Dolores  e  LOPEZ IZQUIERDO, María Ángeles. Animated productions as a resource to transmit traditional legends. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.3, pp. 237-245.  Epub 02-Jun-2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The objective of this article was to analyze the suitability of animation as an adequate resource for the transmission of traditional legends. Using a mixed research approach, two questionnaires were designed (pre-test and post-test) with open and closed questions that were applied to 30 children between 6 and 10 years of age in the city of Riobamba. The experimental group and the control group consisted of 15 randomly selected boys and girls. The experimental group had a viewing session of the animated story of La Leyenda de la Llorona, which is a Cuenta La Leyenda series chapter. The post-test for both, experimental and control groups was applied 90 days after the pre-test. Once the experience was over, it was concluded that the children of the experimental group, besides better retaining knowledge about the legend of La Llorona, have sought to learn more about the subject, proving that animation as a resource to transmit oral traditions is a resource accepted by the children.
