VELASQUEZ VASQUEZ, Rolando Antonio; NUNEZ HERRERA, Carmen Rosario  e  GUADALUPE ALARCON, Rosario. Attitude towards the vaccine against covid-19 in the South Zone of Lima. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.4, pp. 312-320.  Epub 12-Ago-2023. ISSN 2218-3620.

Vaccination systems in different countries constitute one of the alternatives for controlling diseases and pests that reach cities and infect as many people as possible. This study aims to find out what factors are associated with a negative attitude towards the COVID-19 vaccine in thirteen districts of southern Lima. In this study, a descriptive investigation is carried out, which exhaustively and completely writes a portion of reality and aims to accurately and methodically describe a population, situation or phenomenon. A survey of 25 items was prepared and validated with experts at a significance level of 0.89. We worked with a sample of 320 people who had not been vaccinated. The main results show that people who were in the 40-49 age ranges were the ones who participated the most in the study and were the ones who took the longest to get vaccinated and for that reason they were also the fastest to get infected with the virus disease. As conclusions, it is determined that the factors that influenced the negative attitude to not get vaccinated were religious precepts, being positive for Covid-19, the false perception of risk, negative thoughts associated with this vaccination process, fear, level of education and the amount of information about the disease and the vaccine; all of them modified and manipulated by the various news items about the disease and its process that are broadcast daily in the country.
