The management and administration of teacher education through standardised processes. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.5, pp. 365-375. Epub 30-Out-2023. ISSN 2218-3620.
The management and administration of the training process is conceived as a system of conscious influences of the participating agents in the contexts of action and in the levels of direction of the activities related to the training process. A research process was developed with the aim of describing the perceptions of students who are training as teachers in the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Guayaquil, regarding the management and administration of their teacher training through standardized processes with the support of platforms. The students' evaluations regarding the fulfilment of the sub-processes associated with the management of teacher training show favorable criteria with respect to the curricular design and the need to improve the monitoring and evaluation of results. The coordination of resources and the organization of activities, as inherent sub-processes, require immediate reconfiguration based on the inherent potential of timetable tracking and logistics management, according to the majority criteria of the students surveyed. The monitoring of the use of educational platforms and technologies in the teacher training process shows that students' ratings are generally satisfactory in the following indicators: improvement of educational quality, access to digital resources, and continuous professional development; likewise, criteria with a tendency towards medium and low ratings were identified in the following indicators: standardization of practices, effective communication, collaborative learning and personalized student follow-up.
