HERNANDEZ RODRIGUEZ, Mónica; PENA BETANCOURT, Francisco  e  GONZALES GRIGGS, Luis Enrique. Benefit analysis of the process of carbonate mud. RTQ [online]. 2016, vol.36, n.1, pp. 53-66. ISSN 2224-6185.

In the present investigation is carried out a technological evaluation of the calcium carbonated benefit process, firstly was made a chemical and granulometric characterization of the material using dry screening analysis using the following combination sieve: 1,98; 1,4; 1; 0,83; 0,30; 0,15; 0,074 y 0,045mm, the technique of diffraction laser HORIBA was also used to determine the frequency and the superficial area of the particles that compose the surrly of calcium carbonated. The chemical analysis of the material was carried out using volumetric analysis by neutralization for determinate the content of calcium carbonate.  The results obtained show that the calcium carbonated is conformed mainly by particles smaller than 0,3 mm whose percentage in weight is 78,39 %, in which the carbonate content is bigger than 80% except for the classes -0,83+0,3 mm and -0,3+0,15 mm. The 78,40 % of material is easy screening, but, for the current production capacities the plant is subdesigned being required screening areas of 22,57 m2 for the maximum production capacities.

Palavras-chave : process of materials benefit; screening process; calcium carbonated.
