Havana was founded on its actual emplacement, in November 16th, 1519 due to its geographical position on the Caribbean; it has always been flogged by extreme events such as tropical cyclones. Causing social and economic affectations, and the loss of human life. The goal of this work is to make a historical recount of the principal affectations as well as to recount the behavior of the principal climatic variables on the city of wonders on this five centuries. The meteorological station of Casablanca is the only one that has a period of observations with daily data since April 1908. This is the most reliable and extensive data series in Cuba, to analyze clime evolution, its tendencies and points of change. As a curious note in 1801 it was registered, a minimum temperature of 0.0 ºC on Guajay compatible with the value of 0.6 ºC registered on February 1996 in Bainoa.
