600 patients (320 children and 280 adults) were studied, who had been ramdonly selected from 2 368 cases admitted to the intensive and intermidiate care units in "Juan de la Cruz-Martínez Maceira" Northern Pediatric Hospital and "Saturnino Lora" Provincial Teaching Clinicosurgical Hospital. 511 adverse reactions to drugs were detected in 201 patients 187 adults and 74 children- with an occurrence index of 61 % and 20 % respectively. The result were processed and asseased through statistical tests, Naranjo’s algoritthm and benefit- risk analysis of used treatments.
