The Pharmacy and Food Institute (IFAL in Spanish) of the University of Havana has put into practice its four graduate education level in the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Food Sciences areas, with a comprehensive approach and in close association with the bodies and institutions in these branches. It has also designed a set of activities that made up and strengthened the graduate education system of IFAL. For the evaluation of this system, surveys and interviews were made among students and leaders of the institutions where graduates come from respectively, and also internal and external evaluating processes were taken into consideration; additionally, the corresponding measures were adopted to increase the quality of the teaching activities. The analysis of the results showed the advancement and quality of the various activities, with due recognition to the excellent performance of professors and tutors. The relevance or social impact acknowledged by the institutions and bodies from which these students come is underscored.
