Community-acquired pneumonia is one of the most important health problems seen in this institution. In this article, a tool for the stratification of the patients receiving attention due to this affection at the emergency department. This tool that was collectively constructed, with a qualitative approach, and was based on previously determined principles is presented to facilitate the physician to decide the conduct to be followed with the patient. This tool may be used in any hospital of our health system.
