The variety of offers generated by the tourist activity for the provision of services is, to a certain extent, conditioned by the demand, which shows as a trend a micro-segmentation that translates into small, but significant market niches, which suppose a high specialization, an opportunity that favors the need for diverse providers, and where the manager of private and small-format accommodation is a key link in the chain of service provision and customer satisfaction. The objective of the present is to consider, from the current regulatory framework, the opportunities and challenges for the development of the accommodation manager in Cuba, in the context of the improvement of self-employment and of the new economic actors. As a result, the limitations and gaps of the legislative panorama that threaten the provision of this type of services and the necessary look towards its consonance with the performance and importance demonstrated in international experience are exposed.
