ALEMAN LAGE, María del Carmen; GARCIA ROCHE, René  e  JORGE MIRANDA, Raúl. Evaluación de la calidad de la atención médica en el subsistema de urgencias del municipio 10 de octubre, 1997. Rev Cubana Salud Pública [online]. 2000, vol.26, n.2, pp. 110-116. ISSN 1561-3127.

A crosswise study was conducted to evaluate some aspects of the quality of health care services provided by the main emergency polyclinics in 10 de octubre municipality. to this end, a questionnaire was given to selected users for them to answer it. the sample was made up of 328 patients. the performance of the selected criteria to assess the structure and process yielded unacceptable values in almost all the criteria and showed large deviations of the achieved values from the set values. the quality of these services can be improved so that they can match up to the expectations of the users and the solution of their problems which is largely determined by drug shortages in pharmacies . it is recommended to carry out systematic studies to find out how these polyclinics work and whether they fulfill the objectives for which they were created.
