The present article is the seventh of a series of seven, all relatives to the energy dissipators that can be used in hydraulic works. The whole group of these articles conform a monograph about the subject that is being prepared by the author, concluding it by the middle of the year 2017 and later on incorporating it to a new edition - in preparation - of the textbook "Spillways and Intake Structures". This last article is a detailed presentation about the hydraulic ski jump used with the function of energy dissipation.
