DARIAS GONZALEZ, Hardam et al. Limiting factors in MoProSoft implementation. Systematic review. Rev cuba cienc informat [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.4, pp. 98-117. ISSN 2227-1899.
The Mexican standard MoProSoft, aims to increase the capacity of organizations dedicated to the software development and maintenance, to offer quality services and reach international levels of competitiveness. It arises as a regional need to reach the maturity of the processes, because the international models for Software Process Improvement have focused on large companies, while in Mexico the majority of the software development organizations classified as medium and small business. This country advocates the implementation of MoProSoft; however, the implementation of this standard has not been as expected. Although organizations are working under the MoProSoft standard, the vast majority only reach maturity level 1 and a large minority have higher maturity levels. The implementation of Software Process Improvement requires cultural and organizational changes for success, which are generally complex to address and demand a large investment. That is why it is essential to establish a guide for the improvement implementation. This paper performs a systematic review of the MoProSoft standard implementation; a study of the experiences and lessons learned is carried out to identify the main limitations in the use of this standard.
