Public universities in southern Peru have an interesting participation rate in national and international rankings, a fact that generates a desire to evaluate their intellectual production. Thereby, the analysis of the academic production of the public universities of southern Peru is proposed regarding the number of publications in Scopus during 2001 to 2022. A scient metric study was used, compiling information from the 10 public universities, and opting for the variables: number of publications, topic, authors, language, publication format, journal, inter-institutional collaboration, countries and financing.
