A retrospective longitudinal study was performed in 92 medical records of geriatric patients presenting with bladder calculi and operated on by elective and emergency surgical procedures at "Martín Chang Puga" General Teaching Hospital, Nuevitas during a five-year period. Females were found to be predominant in this series with a ratio of 3 to 1; the seventh decade of life was the most affected, and it was found that the relationship man-woman was maintained regardless age. Hypertension and obesity were rated in first place as associated diseases. Acute and recurrent pain were present in 97.82 % of the series. The morbidity and mortality rates due to acute cholecystitis was 25 x 100
