We checked 267 medical records of patients admitted to the hospital under emergency conditions and diagnosed with acute pelvic inflammatory disease that frequently occurs from 15 to 24 years of age. Abdominal pain, leukorrea and leucocytosis are the most frequent symptoms, signs and results of this disease. The m ost used diagnostic means were ultrasound and laparoscopy. Surgery confirmed the laparoscopic findings in the majority of patients
