An study on how behaves Early Detection Plan of Oral Cancer (EDPOC) in Artemisa province from 1992 to 1996, was carried out. It showed that since creation of Maxillo-Facial Service and incorporation of Family Physician to this plan, referrals were increasing, since in years 1992-1993, only there were 33 referrals compared to 215 in 1994-1996 period. Support of Family physician is obvious since in 1994, 1995, and 1996 years, 33,3 %, 41,1 %, and 34,8 %, respectively, of referrals were made by them, which means an important support to early detection of premalignant and malignant injuries and consequent prevention and improving of oro-facial health of its population.
