A descriptive analysis of the statistical data on the results of dental care to children and adolescents aged 0-18 at the national level is made. Emphasis is given to the activities of promotion, prevention, early diagnosis and timely treatment. A classification is established to assess the oral health degree achieved by population the receiving the benefits from this service. It is divided into healthy, moderately healthy and unhealthy children and adolescents. A simple and easy to manage method is described that allows to establish a quantitative assessment of the health status of the population and to determine the effect the National Program of Comprehensive Dental Care has on the population.
