CASTELLANO BECERRILL, María Esther; CADIZ LAHENS, Armando; SANCHEZ GALLARDO, Lorenzo y BORRERO LARGER, Héctor. Utilización de la ultrafiltración en la producción de las inmunoglobulinas. Rev Cubana Farm [online]. 1996, vol.30, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-2988.
The authors present the experiences in substituting the freeze-drying with the ultrafiltration, as an intermediate stage for the elimination of ethanol, salts and protein contaminants of inferior molecular weight to the cut-off of the used modulus (100 kd) in the production of immunoglobulins obtained through the cold alcohol fractionation method. The advantages of using the ultrafilter are evaluated from an economical point of view, due to the increase in yielding, and the feasibility of obtaining a polymers-free product, which increases the quality of the preparation. The plain membrane system is compared with empty fiber cartridges, with reference to the work flow.
