Resumen

The development of the formulation for obtaining 500 mg and 1 mg quality cefazolin, sterile powder for injection, together with the stability studies to determine this drug lifetime cither as powder or as reconstituted substance are described. The quality of the drug obtained was similar to that stated by the international manufacturers since the necessary infrastructure, required skilled personnel, adequate supply of raw material and reduced costs were assured. All this guarantees a great social and economic benefit.
