Abstract
SANDOVAL LOPEZ, Daisy; PAYO HILL, Armando and VELEZ CASTRO, Hermán. Estudio químico en especies cubanas del género Annona II: Annona sclerophylla Safford. Rev Cubana Farm [online]. 2002, vol.36, n.2, pp.107-111. ISSN 0034-7515.
This paper presents the results of the study of the alkaloid contents in leaves and stems of the Cuban endemic species called Annona sclerophylla that has modest antimicrobial effects. For the extraction and purification of such metabolites, organic solvents and chromatographic methods of separation by columns are used. Spectroscopic techniques like UV, IR, mass and NMR1H and 13C as well as the measurement of physical constants allowed identifying alkaloids isocorypalmine and liriodenine, and compounds (-)-kau-16-en-19-oico and (-)-kauran-16µ-o1.
