Abstract

A review of the articles published on streptogramins, a family of antimicrobials to treat the sepsis caused by grampositive germs, was made. The main characteristics and use of quinupristine and dalfopristine, active principles of Synercid®, were exposed. T his drug is an alternative for the treatment of grampositive strains resistant to glucopeptides.
