Abstract

MARCHANTE CASTELLANOS, Pilar  and  MERCHAN GONZALEZ, Francisco. Main biographical data from professors of Real University Pharmacy Faculty of Havana: The1880 Plan. Rev Cubana Farm [online]. 2009, vol.43, n.2. ISSN 0034-7515.

Main biographical data from 21 professors integrated staff of Real University Pharmacy Faculty of Havana from 1880 to 1898, whose names are yet mentioned in a previous paper presenting teaching staff of academic courses corresponding to that period. From them, 16 were Cuban, and only four born in Metropolis, although all were graduates in this specialty in Cuba. From 9 numerary professors, six were member of Pharmacy section of Real Academy of Medical, Physics and Natural Sciences of Havana. One of professor acted only like optional assistants during this period, Bachelor Nestor Lastres and Coppinger, son of then Head, in 1896 abandon the university teaching to join as Third Body Commander of Pharmaceutical Section of Health Body of Liberating Army.
