Our experience with the use of the Cuban human inmunoglobulin, intacglobin, as a therapeutical modality in a series of 8 patrients presenting with Guillain-Barré syndrome who required hospitalization in the Intensive Care Unit, is reported. Of the 8 cases, 5 presented with certain degree of ventilatory failure, and 3 needed mechanical ventilation. The only cause of mortality was sepsis which was responsible of 2 deaths. There were not complications with the use of this therapeutical modality which was applied with good results.
