The value of the interview for making the diagnosis was investigated by using the anamnesis collected by 48 medical students from the last year (interns) among 90 patients admitted in the Medicine Service of a major Teaching Hospital. The diagnosis of the main affection causing the admission was made in 52.l% of the patients (50 cases),whereas in connection with the total of diagnoses (main and secondary) it was made in 54.0%. The results confirm that the interview is the most important tool in the diagnosis of diseases
