The case of a 51-year-old white patient, exsmoker, who is attended at the physician's office due to bouts of persistent cough and to radio-opacity on the right pulmonary base detected in the chest X rays that is interpreted as a pneumonic process on various ocassions, is presented. An endoscopic study was conducted and an endobronchial tumor of possible bening cause was found. He underwent surgery and the lesion proved to be an endobroncial hamartoma. This procedure was curative
