A review of the technique is made to measure in an unbloody way, the function of the vascular endothelium in the human brachial artery. The main studies where this technique has been used are approached, making emphasis on its relationship with the arteriosclerosis of the coronary arteries. Finally, an account of its limitations and possibilities is made.
