Backgrounds of the well-known Evidence-Based Medicine movement and the origins of its denomination were reviewed. We characterized its current realities generating its appearance including the Clinic Epidemiology development, and information globalization through technological advances of information technology. We exposed the classification of scientific evidence levels and the corresponding recommendation degrees. We assessed also the approach of Evidence-Based Medicine without undervalue the clinic experience. We exposed also the dangers of mercantilism of scientific evidences from clinical assays by pharmaceutical companies interested in this feature, which financing such researches. Finally, author's criteria on these pressing and controversial problems are expressed, and its coincidence with criteria of other researchers.
