Resumen
GARCIA SANCHEZ, Juan Bautista et al. Diagnóstico topográfico de las hematurias en pacientes pediátricos mediante el porcentaje de hematíes dismórficos. Rev Cubana Pediatr [online]. 1997, vol.69, n.1, pp. 11-17. ISSN 1561-3119.
It was conducted a study to fix a percentage of dimorphic red cells acting as an optimal cutting point for the topographic diagnosis of hematurias in pediatric patients. Clinical and laboratory data of 77 patients with glomerular hematuria and of 15 with non glomerular hematuria were used. By using a statistical methodology it was obtained a value of 14 % for the point. Any patient having the same or a higher number of dimorphic red cells is included in the group of glomerular hematurias. The area beneath the ROC (Receiver Operating Characteristic) curve associated to this test was of 0,9597, which indicates an elevated accuracy for the test, very close to the ideal value of 1,0 that shows a perfect discrimination.
