A study that included all children of both sexes from the municipality of Matanzas was conducted. A probabilistic design stratified by intention was used to obtain the sample that was composed of 300 newborn infants. The objective of this study was to identify through the results of the echocardiographic measurements the normality range of the cardiac stuctures in a normal infantile population. The studied variables were: left ventricule in systole, left ventricle in diastole, right ventricle, output tractus of the left ventricle, interventricular septum, the aorta, posterior wall of the left ventricle, pulmonary artery trunk, right and left branches, output tractus of the right ventricle, e-septum distance, right auricle, left auricle, left and right coronary arteries, mitral valvular area and shortening fraction. The results were shown in tables by percentiles and body surface. Those from 5 to 95 percentile were considered as normal.
