An updated bibliographic review of ectopic pregnancy was made. It is an important topic and its current trend towards the increase of its incidence in Cuba and in the world is attributed to the higher frequency of the etiopathogenic factors related to this disease. The clinical forms of presentation, the traditional diagnostic methods, and the new present techniques are described.
