A case of interstitial pregnancy of 22.4 weeks of duration, with history of a failed abortion was presented. Due to the rareness and to the diagnostic difficulty of this entity, the most interesting clinical aspects, as well as the conceptual and practical considerations deriving from it, were presented, and a brief account of the literature on this topic was made.
