Sexual activity of mean age woman is surrounded by ignorance and myths affecting its sexuality, it not a topic frequently approached. OBJECTIVES: To confirm how mean age woman experiences its sexuality, using detection of Diagnostic Indicators, to registry sexual diagnostic indicators in mean age women, to determine more frequent changes occurring in its sexuality, and how she experience it, to confirm role in couple relationship in this stage of life. METHODS: authors used the Formative Group, and the techniques applied were surveys and deep interviews in a group of women aged 45 and 59. RESULTS: diagnostic indicators founded in research characterizing how mean age women experience sexuality in a non-health way; expropriation of its sexuality from duty must to be established; difficulty to elaboration of duels requiring this stage of life; difficulty for couple communication. CONCLUSIONS: more frequent changes referring to sexuality in mean age woman were: decrease of sexual desire, frequency of coitus, and absence of orgasm. Formative group showed its potentiality to achieve new features expressing change indicators in sexuality of mean age woman.
