RODRIGUEZ ACOSTA, Mireida et al. Evaluación inmunológica del paciente politraumatizado. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2000, vol.29, n.1, pp. 12-19. ISSN 1561-3046.
Seventy patients with multiple trauma were studied for 3 years who were tested to measure the status of cellular and humoral inmune response. These measurements were made 24 h, 72 h and 7 days after injure. The studied variables proved that cellular immunity was the most affected. Alteration was more evident in complicated and deceased patients. Humoral response was compromised by a reduction in the levels of the third component of complement and IgG system. Changes in immune response of patients with multiple trauma were more evident 72 hours after the aggresion.
