Two l6-year-old female patients, students, suffering from acute unilateral lumbo-sciatic pain that were initially treated in a conservative manner by the family physician are presented. They were studied and diagnosed a L5-Sl lumbar disk herniation by studies of computed tomography and myelography. Both underwent surgery and their clinical picture improved.
