The expert work is very important for the military physician. The objective of this paper is to promote knowledge on the topic of the aptitude inspection in the Revolutionary Armed Forces to improve its quality as regards the recruitment and permanence in the Armed Forces. The concepts of expert and military inspection as well as the frameworks in which the medical military inspections in psychiatry are made are dealt with. The importance of impartiality, reliability and honesty for the expert in his work are stressed and the basis supporting the structure of the expert summary are also underlined.
